The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children is pleased to partner with families, school districts, Intermediate Units and agencies to support positive student outcomes. At our on-campus Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) clinic, non-enrolled students can take a functional vision assessment and receive a full evaluation, consultative support and recommendations for programming. The student's family and educational team are welcome to attend the evaluation.
Clinic dates are held throughout the year, with appointments scheduled at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Call Beth Ramella at 412- 621-0100 ext. 379 to schedule an appointment.
Prior to the evaluation, we request the following information be sent:
- Medical history
- Ophthalmological report
- Current re-evaluation report
- Most recent IEP
- Most recent functional vision evaluation
- Birth history
