CVI Clinic

The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children is pleased to partner with families, school districts, Intermediate Units and agencies to support positive learning outcomes. At our on-campus Vision/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) clinic, non-enrolled infants, toddlers, and school-aged children will receive a full evaluation, consultative support and recommendations for programming. The child's family and educational team are welcome to attend the evaluation. 

Clinic dates are held throughout the year, with appointments scheduled Thursdays and Fridays. Contact Lisa Reale, Principal of the Primary Program, at 412- 621-0100 ext.272 or realel@wpsbc.org to schedule an appointment. 

 

Prior to the evaluation, we request the following information be sent: 

    • Medical history
    • Opthalmological Report
    • Current re-evaluation report
    • Most recent IEP
    • Most recent functional vision evaluation
    • Birth history
