    Horticulture Program
     Student working with plants and staff members The School’s state-of-the-art, wheelchair accessible greenhouse also provides an ideal venue for both day and residential students to learn and explore while take part in a wide range of responsibilities and activities.  Classrooms are scheduled on a rotating basis to participate in the School’s horticulture program that is supervised and directed by a certified horticulture therapist.
     
    No matter what the student’s level of ability, the greenhouse allows youngsters the chance to dig the dirt and help grow and maintain plant life. The training is geared to encourage social activity, improve memory and direction following skills, provide sensory stimulation and exercise and rewarding nurturing behavior.
