Health and Safety Plan

The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children Health and Safety Plan ensures a safe and healthy return to campus for the 2020-2021 School Year. This plan complies with Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements and was approved by the Board of Trustees on Thursday, July 23.

 

Thank you to all parents and families who provided input throughout this process, staff volunteers who served as a task force member, industry professionals who lended their expertise, and Dr. Elena Flores-Noel, Health Services Director for leading this initiative. 

 

This comprehensive plan includes details regarding the possible types of reopening, WPSBC's pandemic team, building sanitation, social distancing protocols, and considerations for students and staff. The document is subject to change as new information becomes available, and all updates will be shared with our WPSBC community and posted to the website.
