Support Us

Without the generous support of our donors, we would not have the ability to offer nationally recognized, individualized programming for our exceptional students.
There are many ways to support Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, making a difference in the lives of our students.

Planned Giving

Gifts can be made to WPSBC in the form of a charitable gift annuity, donor-advised funds, stock or security, or by remembering WPSBC in your will. A thoughtful planned gift enables charitable donations at a level that you might not have thought possible, while maximizing tax benefits for you and your family, and giving great meaning to the School's Mission. Each gift option offers various benefits and gives donors the chance to perpetuate their legacy of philanthropic values.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity is a gift involving a contract between a donor and WPSBC, where the donor transfers cash or property to WPSBC in exchange for a partial tax deduction and a fixed income for life from WPSBC.

Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund is a charitable giving program administered by a public charity on behalf of an organization, family or individual in order to manage charitable donations. This option offers favorable tax benefits and flexible giving options for the donor.

Remember WPSBC in Your Will

Leave a legacy by remembering WPSBC in your will or living trust, or by naming our School as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy. This can be expressed as a dollar amount or as a percentage of assets to be given.

Stock or Security

Gifts of stock and securities such as stock, bonds and mutual funds can reduce your tax deduction and provide you with financial benefits.

For more information on planned giving, please contact WPSBC or your tax advisor.
