Why Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children?

For over 140 years, WPSBC has been serving students with blindness and visual impairments. WPSBC currently serves the 33 counties in Western Pennsylvania and serves students ages 3-21 who are blind or visually impaired with additional disabilities. Our incredible team at WPSBC supports students in every aspect of their lives: from education at a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to providing meals as a member of our food services team.

As a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in Pittsburgh, we employ over 300 team members as part of the WPSBC family. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment of respect and collaboration where we embrace and celebrate diversity. Our core values—Excellence, Compassion, Creativity, Dignity, Collaboration, and Self-determination—drive all that we do here at WPSBC. If this sounds like a place for you, we encourage you to apply.
